We are moving to a new building. We do not know the exact date yet but we think it will be February 2012. Our new address will be Unit 3, Dispensary Lane, Blackfriars, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4XB (behind the Gate). Watch this space for updates!!!

Streetwise is a young people's charity, we work with young people aged 13-25 years old from all over the north-east. We are based in Newcastle upon Tyne. You can talk to us about anything, whether you need someone to listen, or would like some information or advice. If we don’t have the answer we should know someone who will! All our services at Streetwise for young people are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is a big word that can make people feel very confused! It's important that you understand what it means so you know your rights and can make good choices when it comes to staying healthy.

Whatever you tell a Streetwise worker will remain confidential (private) unless we think you or someone else is in danger. This means normally no-one will find out you have been in to see us unless you tell them. If we do have to pass on information you have told us (e.g. if you are in danger), we will always tell you we are going to do this and we will support you. Remember: your confidentiality is important to us too. We have a responsibility to keep you safe and will only break confidentiality if we're seriously worried about your health and safety.

Find Us 

Streetwise is currently in the Bigg Market in the city centre. If you stand at the top of the Bigg Market, you can see KFC on the left corner and Pizza Hut on the right corner. Walk down the Pizza Hut side of the street. Keep going until you reach a black door in between two take away shops. This is Streetwise! Press the buzzer to talk to a worker.
