School Youthwork Hubs

Children & Young People's Services (Streetwise) work in partnership with several different secondary education schools and academies across the City.

We work closely with pupils and school staff to offer the right services that best meet the needs of children and young people. In Jesmond Park Academy we offer Early Help Youth Hubs. Within these hubs, young people can access free information, advice, counselling, emotional and mental health support, social and community activities and relationship support. If you would like further information, please contact joan@everyturn.org

Wallsend Youth Hub and Outreach

The new Wallsend Youth Hub is open every Thursday from 6-8pm at the Anchorage 80 Park Road, Wallsend. Young people can just drop-in with their friends and check it out.

The Youth Hub offers a safe space for young people aged 13 - 16 to meet up with friends, listen to music, chat, try new arts, crafts, games and activities, creating an environment where lots of new opportunities and conversations can take place with trusted adults.

The Youth Workers can also be seen out and about on Mondays afternoons in the Wallsend area, meeting up with young people and exploring what they would like to try and get involved in, to help break down barriers, relive boredom and  explore new ideas.
