Services for Schools and Youth Groups
Streetwise has provided counselling in schools for the last 6 years. We currently have counsellors in 6 schools in Newcastle. Streetwise Youth Work Team can also provide your students with classes on Sexual Health, Mental Health & Drugs and Alcohol and can adapt sessions to meet the needs of your pupils. We charge £80 per hour which includes 2 trained facilitators and all planning time. Training for Professionals
Streetwise can provide a range of training on young peoples issues to your organisation including Self Harm, Anger, Masculinity, Homelessness, Sexual Health, Pornography & Drugs and Alcohol. Please contact Sarah McTimoney, Youth Work Service Manager on sarah@streetwisenorth.org.uk
We are currently delivering Pornography & Young People: What's the Deal? training. This popular course covers trends within young peoples pornography use, the law, sexting and social networking and ways professionals can work with the issue. Cost per place: £80. We are also delivering Not Until I'm Ready training. This course covers young people's experiences of sexual decision-making, explores what 'being ready' means and introduces practical activities that can be used with young people to encourage healthy choices about sex. Cost per place: £95 (includes resource pack)

Alcohol Intervention
Streetwise have a Tier 2 Alcohol Worker who can provide brief intervention and guidance for young people on alcohol related issues.
