You can come to Streetwise for counselling if you are between the ages of 11 - 25. If you are under 13 we normally need your parent or carers permission first.

How does counselling work?

Counselling is one way to help you work through any problems or worries. It is an opportunity to talk to someone outside your family and friends who will accept, listen and respect what you share. T ogether you can look at the choices available to you. The Counsellor will support you to make decisions that you feel are right for you.

What can I talk to my Counsellor about?

You can talk about whatever is worrying you e.g. things that might make you angry, sad or confuse you. In counselling you can talk about things that happened in the past, things that affect you now or worries about the future.
